A useful FAQ answers questions a reader still has after reading your page. Start with real questions from support, comments, or an editorial review. Remove anything the main article already answers clearly.
Creator disclosure: We made WP Smart FAQ Schema and earn revenue from its sales. It is a paid WordPress plugin for maintaining a small FAQ beside each post or page. It does not write answers or promise higher rankings.
- Choose three to five questions that belong to this specific page.
- Write concise, factual answers and check changing details against their sources.
- Enter the pairs in the FAQ editor. Add
[wpsfaq]using a Shortcode block where readers need the answers. - Preview the public page and check every answer and expandable control.
- Review the FAQ whenever you update the article. Remove outdated answers so two versions do not drift apart.
The plugin publishes expandable answers and matching JSON-LD from the same saved plain text. It supports up to 20 pairs per post or page and requires an active Pro license. It does not include a dedicated FAQ block, automatic detection, or AI writing. Google FAQ rich results were discontinued in May 2026, so this is an editorial workflow choice, not a rich-result strategy.
Before installing, make a current backup and try the plugin on a staging copy of your site. Publish one short FAQ first, then check it while logged out and on a narrow screen. Use questions that belong to that page, and avoid copying the same answers across unrelated articles. If an answer depends on a changing price, policy, or product feature, include checking it in your next editorial review. Keep important context in the article itself so readers can understand it without expanding every answer.
Pro costs $19 USD per year for one site, plus applicable taxes, with a conditional 14-day refund policy. Review license, renewal and refund terms before buying.
